Setup Guide
🎉 Congratulations on your new Sugarboard!
You're just a few minutes away from seeing your glucose levels displayed in real time.
To get started, simply choose your preferred setup method:
• Quick Setup using the built-in Wi-Fi portal
• Mobile App for a guided setup experience
Follow the steps, and Sugarboard will take care of the rest. 💙
Prepare your CGM connection — Depending on the system you use, a few one-time steps are required before starting the setup.
Invite a follower in LibreLink
In LibreLink, go to Connected Apps → LibreLinkUp and invite a follower.
Create a LibreLinkUp account
Accept the invitation in the LibreLinkUp app.
Use the right credentials
Sugarboard connects with the e-mail and password of the LibreLinkUp follower account — not those of your main LibreLink account.
Also have your Wi-Fi credentials (network name and password) handy — you will be asked for them during setup.
Once everything is ready, turn on your Sugarboard and follow the guided setup. You will select FreeStyle Libre, enter your LibreLinkUp credentials and your Wi-Fi network. That's it!
Turn on Share in the Dexcom app
In the Dexcom app, enable Share and add at least one follower. Sharing must be active for Sugarboard to read your glucose.
Use the right credentials
Sugarboard connects with the username (or e-mail) and password of your main Dexcom account — not those of a follower.
Also have your Wi-Fi credentials (network name and password) handy — you will be asked for them during setup.
Once everything is ready, turn on your Sugarboard and follow the guided setup. You will select Dexcom (via Dexcom Share), enter your Dexcom main account credentials and your Wi-Fi network. That's it!
Find your sensor ID
Open CamAPS FX → Settings → Sensor and note the ID: a 6-character transmitter ID for Dexcom G6, or the 4-digit pairing code for Dexcom G7 / One+.
Connect with your Sensor ID
This mode reads your sensor directly over Bluetooth, so you won't need a network or login. It works alongside your phone.
Once everything is ready, turn on your Sugarboard and follow the guided setup. You will select Dexcom with CamAPS and enter your sensor ID. That's it!
⚠️ Important: adding a new Bluetooth device may interfere with your existing devices. After setup, make sure all devices connected to your sensor — pump, phone, reader — are still working correctly and receiving your data.
Create a CareLink Partner account
Create a CareLink Partner account and send an invitation to your main CareLink account. Accept the invitation from the main account to establish the connection.
A CareLink Partner account can be created either through the CareLink™ Connect app or online by visiting the CareLink registration page and selecting "Care Partner" during registration.

Sugarboard connects with the username and password of the CareLink Partner account — not those of your main account.
Also have your Wi-Fi credentials (network name and password) handy — you will be asked for them during setup.
Once everything is ready, turn on your Sugarboard and follow the guided setup. You will select Medtronic, enter your CareLink Partner credentials and your Wi-Fi network. That's it!
What's next?
Once setup is complete, your SugarBoard will automatically connect to your Wi-Fi network and start retrieving data from your CGM.
Most CGMs provide a new glucose reading every 5 minutes, so it may take a few minutes before your first value appears.
If your Wi-Fi or account credentials were entered incorrectly, Sugarboard will not be able to connect. In that case, simply restart the setup process by performing a reset:
Press and hold the ◀️ button for 5 seconds.
You can then run the setup again from the beginning.
Once connected, SugarBoard shows your glucose in real time.
